Statement
Artist : Photography and films.
Photography and motion pictures, are to me the same as breathing, like a heartbeat. More than a necessity. Somehow, it enables me to talk about my fear that torments deep inside, maybe to be more at peace with myself, to be more accepted by others and to be more free.... ( 1 ) (2) That’s what I hope... It helps to understand the world I live in. What else could I do? I have never thought of any other possibilities....An Artist has a desire to produce things and he pursues this desire. He’s able to deal with the world in a special way . The aim is to connect with it differently and to question certain things taken for granted.
I make few works to remember what I saw and I prefer to remember the things for myself ( 3) What really matters is what I feel.... Not necessarily the way things happened. Refusing to see the world like it is, I try to create an altered state of reality inspired by surrealists events and dreams.
I try to explore boundaries of painting, digital media, photography, films... My works are representations ( but I try to go beyond and to create my own world with my own codes ) .... Digital technology is here to investigate how this technology has modified our perception of things and our environment ( cf . Supra ) .....
As a final result, my works are devoid of characters and the fabulous, bizarre, and strange predominate. Giving hope is also important to me.... (4) It’s also an invitation to a very personal journey where we can dream and guess : I hope you will appreciate it.
1.... “It [ending the novel] was the kind of crisis that does not kill you. On the contrary, it makes you think, makes you create. The creative process is nothing but a series of crises!”
Isaac Bashevis Singer , 1982
2. “ There are many ways to be free. One of them is to transcend reality by imagination, as I try to do “ : “ Anais Nin
3. “ We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are : “ Anais Nin
